21st Annual VWs in the Valley – Red River VW Club

We can’t wait to welcome you to Fargo for the 21st Annual VWs in the Valley on July 25, 2026 in Fargo.

Bring the family and hang out. Bring your camp chairs and set up on the grass! We will have games, door prizes and more! Official awards include the top 10, people’s choice, kids’ choice. Additional awards for farthest traveled and hardest/most chaotic travel (Darwin award). We will have the Lupe’s Tacos food truck, Ramsey’s Kitchen (BBQ) food truck, and Dr. Treats Ice Cream truck on site!

REGISTRATION

Registration will be done digitally this year at the show, so there is no need to bring cash. We’ll help you figure it out if you have questions. If you prefer to pay with cash, we can help you with that too.

GENERAL SCHEDULE

8:00 – If you can help us set our tables, tents, etc, please come early!
9:00 – Participants and vendors can enter and start setting up their cars/displays
9:30(ish) – Registration opens (and pre-registered folks can pick up their packets)
10:00 – Show begins!
11:00 – Food trucks will start serving (whenever they’re ready)
10:30-2:30 – Door prizes will be given out to participants
2:45 – Awards
3:00 – Show’s over! if you can help with taking down our registration, tables, tents, and more, we’d appreciate that!

PRE-SHOW CRUISE AND PICNIC

Welcome Picnic:

Harwood Park: 200 Bender Blvd, Harwood, ND!
(NEW LOCATION this year. It’s not at Joel’s.)

July 24, 2026 from 6:00-9:00 PM. (Cruise up from West Fargo at 5:30 with us!)

We’ll officially start at around 6:00 PM, but join when you can. As usual, if you can bring a chair for each person in your party, that’ll be helpful.

BYOB or enjoy some locally brewed beer from our sponsor, Icewind Brewing. Please bring a dish to share if you are able to. Hamburgers will be provided by the club and cooked up by our vice president on site.

Kids – bring swimsuits/towels! Harwood’s park has a new splash pad. Can’t wait to catch up with everyone and wind down before the big show on Saturday!

Pre-Show Cruise to the Picnic:

–5:15-5:29 PM: Meet at Bonanzaville USA: 1351 Main Ave. W., West Fargo, ND.

–5:30 PM: Cruise leaves Bonanzaville for a 9.5 mile cruise (no Interstate) north to Harwood Park. (Click here for link to Google maps directions.) The pace is usually about 50-55 mph once we get out of the city.

–6:00 PM: Picnic officially begins. (If you can’t join the cruise, meet us there!)

ACCOMMODATIONS

Hotels in the direct area include the Red Roof Inn and the Mainstays. These are easily walkable (you can see the show from these hotels!). The C’Mon Inn, the Staybridge, and the Best Western/Kelly are also within 5 minutes of our show. (If you have a trailer, there is street parking or you can ask at your hotel of choice where you can park it.) On the day of the show, we have trailer parking available nearby. See ‘parking info’ below.

There are also local campgrounds in the area for those who would like to go that route!

PARKING INFO

Below is the basic show participant parking map. Note there are a few changes from last year, but this is because we have more vendors and food trucks on site than we have in recent years! The biggest change from previous years is to please not park in the area between the electric charging spots and the front of the Visitors’ Center on the east side of the lot. Parking attendants will help you find a good spot when you arrive.

There will be no trailer parking allowed within the lot during the show. You can park behind the big blue building that says “Perficient” on it. (This is directly northeast of the visitors’ center, which has a huge lot behind it that they are graciously allowing us to use for trailers!) Again, DO NOT park your trailer in the Visitors Center lot, even on the north side near the hotel. You’ll be asked to move it.

Those who are handicapped and need assistance/accommodation, please reach out to us, and we’ll help you get the access you need. We have ample handicapped parking spaces set aside also.

Vendors: we have a detailed map to help you know where to go, park, and set up. If you need to drive a truck or van in to the show to set up, please be on the show grounds by 8:30 or a bit earlier. We will start allowing show-cars in by 9 and it will become difficult to maneuver larger vehicles in the lot.

CHARITY (this year’s beneficiary)

Hope Blooms is a Fargo?based nonprofit that delivers fresh flowers and moments of joy to people who need it most. They repurpose donated flowers from weddings, events, and local partners, then create handcrafted bouquets that are delivered to hospitals, nursing homes, hospice patients, and community members facing difficult circumstances.

Their mission is simple and powerful: use kindness and connection to improve emotional well?being. Every bouquet is delivered with a personal message, turning something as small as a flower arrangement into a meaningful reminder that someone cares.

RULES

No scooters, skateboards, skates, bikes, rollerskates, electric scooters/boards or other recreational wheels allowed in the show area for kids or adults. Leave it at home.
Do not ever touch or climb into any car without permission from its owner. Not yours, hands (and elbows and butts and anything else) off!
If you have a stroller or carry a large tote bag, handbag, backpack, keys/phone on a lanyard, etc., keep it close so it won’t drag along a car as you look.
Keep track of children. We love and welcome kids but we do not love sticky fingers or scratches and dents on our VWs.
Pets must be leashed and well-behaved.
Please find a volunteer and donate! Our club uses donations like yours to run events like this!
Clean up after yourself. There is garbage and recycling available around the venue and be courteous while inside the Visitors’ Center
