510 Center Ave, Moorhead, MN
We’re so excited for the 15th annual VWs in the Valley car show – one of the largest gatherings of vintage and new Volkswagens in the region! ALL Volkswagen vehicles are welcome regardless of age, model, and condition. Drive it, push it, drag it into the parking lot at the Moorhead Center Mall! This year’s “featured class” is patina. We want to see your survivors – natural or fauxtina. Please read the information below for all of the details, including how we’re handling Covid-19 and what we expect from you if you attend.

COVID-19 INFORMATION AND EXPECTATIONS
Here’s the thing: we ALL want to have this car show. We are itching for a car show, after a spring and summer full of cancellations. But it’s going to be a big bummer if a bunch of people catch (or spread) Covid-19 at our show. Please read the following information so you can make an informed decision about whether you want to attend.
Here’s what WE are doing for you.
- Wide-open location at the mall allowing us to physically distance cars and people.
- Self-registration (you take a card and fill it out, you grab your own swag bag – no contact with others needed).
- FREE registration (please donate what you can to help the club).
- Streamlined awards / easier voting process (we hope to offer voting from your phone, but not sure yet).
- Masks available for purchase at the show.
- We hope to have self-service hand sanitizer.
- There will be no pre-show gathering or after-party this year (but there will be a pre-cruise Friday night; see Participant Info above for details and please observe the guidelines below during this event).
And here is what we are asking YOU to do.
- Do not attend if you have a fever or cough, signs of illness, or have been around someone who has. (We hope this is common sense.)
- Wear a mask covering your nose and mouth. We can’t force you, but we hope you choose to. We know it’s hot and uncomfortable and your voice is muffled. But please wear a mask.
- Bring a hand sanitizer for yourself and use it often.
- Stay the heck back from others. Personal space bubble, people! 6 feet! (An aircooled VW bug is about 5′ wide.)
- Don’t touch people’s cars or stick your head inside and breathe all over their interior. (Car Show 101: respect the cars!!)
- Bring your own chairs, portable canopy, etc. so you don’t feel a need to crowd with others.
- Keep track of your kids. They need to follow these guidelines too.
- Have respect for all views and ‘love thy club members.’ You might have a different view about Covid-19 and whether it’s real or as serious as we’ve been told. But others may feel the opposite. Regardless of how any particular individual personally feels about it, we’re asking everyone to follow the laws and CDC recommendations, to do the things above, so that EVERYONE is safe and has a good time at our show. We’re here to geek out about cars anyway, not argue politics or virology.

Thanks. It’s been a weird year, but let’s all do our part to have a safe and healthy show that will certainly be DIFFERENT than ever before!
